Job summary

TeemaGroup is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to deliver compassionate primary care in a correctional or institutional healthcare setting. The NP will follow a consistent weekday schedule and work with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive medical care to patients.

Responsibilities include clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment of conditions, and maintenance of medical records. Strong communication and collaboration are essential for high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in primary care, family practice, or internal medicine.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong communication and clinical assessment skills.
• Prior correctional or institutional healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and preventive care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
• Manage an average daily caseload in accordance with facility needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation per facility and state standards.
• Perform minor procedures as applicable (preferred but not required).
• Ensure timely communication and follow-up regarding patient care needs.
