Job summary

Cell Staff is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to join a corrections facility in Virginia. This full-time contract role focuses on providing primary care to inmates, conducting initial exams, and monitoring medical equipment within the facility, with 8-hour shifts, Mon–Fri, and no weekend requirements.

The position requires NP licensure in good standing and at least 1 year of NP experience. Benefits include health/dental/vision, life, short-term disability, a 401k plan, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited educational institution.
• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) by the State in which the position is located. The license MUST be in good standing
• 1+ year of relevant Nurse Practitioner (NP) experience

Responsibilities

• Providing primary care to inmates
• Performing initial examinations, including physical exams and patient observations
• Setting up and monitoring medical equipment
• Ordering and administering diagnostic tests
• Recording patient medical histories
• Operating and maintaining medical equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned
