Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a full‑time Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Certified Nurse Practitioner to deliver primary care in Salina, Kansas.

The NP will manage a panel of Veterans, emphasize health promotion and disease prevention, and coordinate care with the Primary Care Team. Responsibilities include ordering and interpreting labs, prescribing interventions, and referring to specialists as needed, while upholding VA core values and contributing to the VA mission.

Qualifications

• APN/NP licensure and national certification required.
• Experience providing primary care to adults/ veterans preferred.
• Ability to order/interpret labs and diagnostics; manage care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services to Veterans at Robert J. Dole VAMC.
• Independently manage a patient panel with acute and chronic conditions; emphasize prevention.
• Develop individualized plans to improve population health outcomes; lead care coordination.
