Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Pataskala, OH 43062 is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in a primary care setting, under the supervision of a provider or nurse. Location: 370 E Broad St, Pataskala, OH.

Hours are Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm, with duties including rooming patients, taking vitals, and chart prep. The role involves blood draws, injections, EKGs, history review, and EPIC usage.

Qualifications

• Education: High school Diploma or GED with 1-2 years Medical experience OR graduate in science/health degree; MA program completion preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Nationally recognized Medical Assistant Certification or Registration preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years medical assisting experience preferred; or 2-3 years medical office experience if education is lacking.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required and must maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and room patients: height, weight and vitals
• Review medical history chief complaints and gather other information
• Blood draws, injections and EKGs
• Answer in basket message, patient follow up calls and message
• Using EPIC
