CenterWell Primary Care seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and APPs in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in Augusta, GA. The role combines clinical tasks with administrative duties to promote efficient clinic operations and positive patient experiences.

You will perform vital signs, phlebotomy, documentation in the EHR, and coordination of visits and referrals, while supporting preventive screenings and chronic disease management.

Qualifikationen

• Meet at least one pathway: MA training program, MA certification/registration, or 3+ years MA experience.
• Ability to demonstrate fundamental clinical skills, including vital signs and patient preparation.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, and prioritization skills; follow clinical instructions with limited direction.
• This role is patient facing and part of the TB screening program; TB screening will be required.

Aufgaben

• Prepare patients for examinations; obtain vital signs; review and update medical histories; assist with examinations and procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, diagnostic screenings, vaccination administration when permitted by policy and law.
• Accurately document patient information and clinical activities in the EHR.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and care team to coordinate visits, referrals, and follow-ups.
• Support preventive screenings and chronic disease management initiatives and care gap identification.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms; sterilize equipment; manage supplies; follow safety procedures.
• Deliver compassionate, professional, culturally responsive patient interactions and provide education within scope.
• Organize and prioritize daily clinical and administrative tasks to support patient flow.
• Maintain confidentiality and escalate patient concerns to licensed staff.
