Job summary

At UCLA Health, the Ventura Primary Care Clinic seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and advanced practice providers in ambulatory care. Under supervision, you will help with patient care, basic admin tasks, vital signs, injections, EKGs, and triage in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Medical assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited program.
• National certification by CMA, NCCT or AMT or equivalent credentials.
• Demonstrated injections, skin tests, venipuncture and related safety training.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in ambulatory patient care and emergencies.
• Take vital signs, administer IM/IV/SC medications, and perform EKGs.
• Maintain patient care records using computerized systems.
• Order supplies and maintain inventory; ensure OSHA PPE compliance.
