Job summary

UCLA Health in Ventura is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Primary Care Clinic. You will work as assistive personnel under the direct supervision of a physician, providing patient care in the ambulatory setting and supporting staff during emergencies.

This role may include basic administrative, clerical and technical tasks when conditions of supervision and authorization are met. UCLA Health is a renowned health system with multiple hospitals and hundreds of clinics across Southern California.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent required.
• Experience in ambulatory care is preferred.
• Strong patient care and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and nurse practitioner under supervision.
• Participate in patient care in ambulatory setting and recognize normal/abnormal signs.
• Provide support during life-threatening emergencies when trained and authorized.
