Job summary

Veterans Health Administration seeks an Licensed Practical Nurse for the Primary Care Service Line. The role is temporarily in St. James, MO, until the Rolla, MO facility opens (projected March 1, 2027).

The LPN/LVN will work with RN/Provider to deliver nursing care, administer medications, educate patients, and support a busy outpatient clinic with a focus on safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program approved by the state
• Full, active, unrestricted LPN/LVN licensure in the US or DC
• English language proficiency in speaking and writing
• Ability to work with RN/Provider to implement patient care plans
• Willingness to work in a primary care outpatient setting and adapt to facility relocation

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in a primary care clinic
• Collaborate with RN/Provider to develop individualized plans
• Administer prescribed medications and document responses
• Provide patient and family education on medications and care
• Respond to emergencies and assist in procedures as directed
