Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, St. Louis Health Care System, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support Medicine Specialty Outpatient Clinics in St. Louis, Missouri. The nurse practices within the LPN scope under clinic policies and works under supervision of RNs/MDs.

Responsibilities include administering medications, observing patient status, and providing education to patients and families as part of the outpatient care team.

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship required; non-citizens only as VA policy allows.
• English language proficiency required.
• Graduate of an approved practical or vocational nursing program.
• Active, full, current and unrestricted LPN/LVN licensure in the United States or DC.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the LPN scope in the Medicine Specialty Outpatient Clinic per policies.
• Administer medications, monitor patient status, and report changes to RN/MD.
