Job summary

Ascension Medical Group in Kokomo, IN seeks a Medical Assistant to support primary care visits. You will interview patients, record vital signs, prepare treatment rooms, and assist with treatments ordered by providers under supervision.

You’ll also perform basic clerical duties and help manage supplies to keep the clinic organized and efficient. Minimum requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, or one year of relevant experience; BLS provider within 30 days; Medical Assistant

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date or transfer date.
• Medical Assistant certification or registration within 90 days of hire/transfer.
• Licensure/certification may substitute education/experience where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients, measure vitals, and record information in charts.
• Assist with treatments ordered by provider under supervision.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone and records.
• Manage supplies; keep environment clean and orderly.
• Transcribe patient orders and document encounters as indicated.
