Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Iowa seeks a Clinic RN for MercyOne Clive Family Medicine in the Des Moines metro. The outpatient role delivers safe, effective patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, coordinating with other clinicians to meet care goals.

You will educate patients and families, participate in staff meetings and quality improvement, document in EMR, manage medications safely, and support scheduling, referrals, and admissions as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license in Iowa.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (Windows, MS Office).
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient patient care using nursing processes (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Administer medications and treatments safely via multiple routes and document accordingly.
• Coordinate care with physicians, staff, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, prep, discharge, and health maintenance; document education.
