Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Waterview Park in OKC is hiring for Medical Assistant, LPN, or EMT/Paramedic positions. The role involves preparing patients for visits, performing essential vital signs, reviewing histories, and assisting with on-site testing and vaccinations.

You will document in Epic, support care gaps, and coordinate follow-up as needed. A strong preference is given to those with clinical experience in primary care settings and BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Certification: CMA/CCMA/RMA or EMT/Paramedic certification accepted.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for visit by entering chief complaint, taking vital signs, reviewing history and allergies, reconciling meds, and documenting in Epic.
• Assists with in-office testing including drawing blood, mental status exams, EKGs, oxygen studies and point-of-care testing.
• Administers vaccines and injections within scope of practice.
• Schedules follow-up appointments per office policy.
• Collaborates with providers and clinical care team to monitor and coordinate care.

Position Details:

Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Waterview Park (OKC)

Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Accepting applications for MA, LPN, or EMT/Paramedic!

Overview:

• Prepares patient for visit with provider by completing Advanced Standard room process including entering the chief complaint; taking the patient vital signs; reviewing patient history and allergies; completing a thorough medication reconciliation; working the Encounter Guide including helping to close any open care gaps such as fall risk, depression screening, breast cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening, and diabetic eye exams; rechecking elevated blood pressures; and completing needed documentation in Epic for yearly preventative visits as needed.

• Assists with any needed in-office testing including, but not limited to, drawing blood, completing mental status exams, EKG’s, walking oxygen studies and point of care testing.

• Administer vaccines and other injections within scope of practice.

• Schedules follow up appointments when needed per office policy.

• Collaborates with providers and clinical care team to monitor and coordinate delivery of the care plan.

Medical Assistant Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.

  • Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

  • Preferred Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.

• Certified Medical Assistant

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.

  • Certification: Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) or EMT/Paramedic is also accepted. Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

LPN Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

• Licensure: Active LPN license in the state of practice.

• Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience preferred, particularly in a primary care office.
