Job summary

Mercy Clinic Primary Care in Moore, OK is seeking qualified Medical Assistants, LPNs, or EMT/Paramedics for a full-time role. You will prepare patients for visits, take vitals, reconcile medications, perform necessary in-office testing, and assist with vaccinations within scope.

You will collaborate with providers and the care team to monitor and coordinate treatment plans, schedule follow-ups, and ensure complete documentation in Epic for quality care.

Qualifications

• Rooming patients and collecting chief complaints; entering vitals and meds.
• Reconciliation of medications and review of history/allergies.
• Assist with in-office testing (blood draws, EKGs, walking tests).
• Administer vaccines within scope; document in Epic.
• Coordinate follow-ups and care plans with the clinical team.

Position Details:

Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Moore

Full-Time; 40 hours/week, M-F 8am-5pm

Accepting applications for MA, LPN, or EMT/Paramedic!

Overview:

• Prepares patient for visit with provider by completing Advanced Standard room process including entering the chief complaint; taking patient vital signs; reviewing patient history and allergies; completing a thorough medication reconciliation; working the Encounter Guide including helping to close any open care gaps such as fall risk, depression screening, breast cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening, and diabetic eye exams; rechecking elevated blood pressures; and completing needed documentation in Epic for yearly preventative visits as needed.
• Assists with any needed in-office testing including, but not limited to, drawing blood, completing mental status exams, EKG’s, walking oxygen studies and point of care testing.
• Administer vaccines and other injections within scope of practice.
• Schedules follow up appointments when needed per office policy.
• Collaborates with providers and clinical care team to monitor and coordinate delivery of the care plan.

Medical Assistant Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Preferred Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.
• Certified Medical Assistant:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certification: Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) or EMT/Paramedic is also accepted. Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

LPN Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Licensure: Active LPN license in Oklahoma.
• Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience preferred, particularly in a primary care office.
