Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast Primary Care Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Mercy Primary Care Providers in delivering patient-centered care. You will collaborate with patients and the care team to drive quality outcomes and participate in the MA Clinic Academy training to ensure proficiency in our Mercy Service Standards.

The role requires a High School diploma or MA program completion, with preference for candidates who have prior patient care or medical office experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Education Preferred: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Experience Preferred: One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by the clinic.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.

Job Profile Summary

Under the direction of the primary care operations team, the Primary Care Patient Care MA works directly with Mercy Primary Care Providers to provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care in a systematic way. The Primary Care Patient Care MA will partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for all patients. Duties and responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Days

Education: High school diploma or equivalent
