Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to oversee initial evaluation and treatment of patients in assigned areas. The role includes history taking, physical exams, and writing orders in accordance with hospital policy.

The position requires current Maryland NP or PA licensure (Adult or Family) and annual CPR certification, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, physicians, patients, and families.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland NP or PA licensure (Adult or Family) per Board requirements.
• Annual Healthcare Provider CPR certification is required.
• Completion of CPR with preceptor/contract requirements as specified.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluation and treatment of patients in assigned areas.
• Conduct initial history and physical examinations with documentation.
• Write orders per hospital policy and for pre-existing conditions.
• Discuss findings with attending physician and nursing staff and adjust treatment as needed.
• Document progress notes and treatment plans; refer to appropriate departments as required.
