Qualifikationen

• MSN required upon hire or within 3 years for APRN external hires or moving from non-APRN to APRN roles.
• Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
• For neonatal care, Master's may be required upon hire.
• Graduate of an ARC-approved Physician Assistant Program for PAs.
• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or higher.

Aufgaben

• Conducts thorough medical histories and physical examinations; collaborates with the health care team.
• Performs and interprets routine diagnostic procedures as credentialed and privileged by the hospital.
• Prescribes and monitors medications as allowed by license and hospital policies.
• Educates patients about diseases, treatments, side effects and hazards.
• Participates in medical team rounds and coordinates with nursing and other staff to ensure quality care.
• Refer patients to specialists when appropriate for consultation or resources.
• Ensures continuity of care by liaising with team members across care settings.
• Participates in quality monitoring and discharge planning; supports professional development.
• Promotes evidence-based practices and may conduct research or data collection.
• Onboards new caregivers and may serve as clinical preceptor.
