Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited nursing or physician assistant program.
• Virginia license or eligibility; credentialing per UVA Health System.
• Current BLS; ACLS/PALS as required by position.
• Ability to perform assessments, diagnoses, and manage patient care within scope.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with medical director and interprofessional team to coordinate patient care across settings.
• Perform comprehensive health histories and physicals; initiate CPR as needed.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies; coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Document care, manage medications, and communicate plans with patients and families.
• Participate in on-call duties and ensure adherence to UVA policies and payer requirements.
• Promote professional practice and provide education to colleagues and trainees.
