Job summary

UVA Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver comprehensive outpatient cardiology care at the UVA Augusta location. The role supports a high-volume clinic with two Cardiologists and three APPs, coordinating with radiology, imaging, and subspecialties to optimize patient outcomes.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, day hours, with options for four 10-hour days. Commitment to evidence-based cardiovascular care, patient education and multidisciplinary collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or nurse practitioner program.
• Licensed or license-eligible as an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluate, diagnose, and manage General Cardiology patients and preventive care.
• Perform cardiovascular assessments, order/interpret tests, and develop treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with imaging, heart failure and EP subspecialists as needed.
• Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists, social workers and navigators for care coordination.
• Document encounters accurately in EPIC in a timely manner.
