Job summary

The Advanced Practice Provider role on UVA Health's Hospital Medicine team delivers high-quality, patient-centered care at the top of your license, supporting inpatient throughput, continuity, and clinical excellence within an academic health system.

You will manage a dedicated general medicine panel with strong autonomy and collaboration, participate in a 40-hour work week structure, and benefit from a structured onboarding experience and relocation assistance if eligible.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited graduate school of nursing or physician assistant program with a master's degree.
• Licensure: Licensure or eligibility as an Advance Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or PA) in Virginia; BLS required.
• Certifications: ACLS/PALS as required; credentialing and licensing per UVA Health.

Responsibilities

• Independently round on an assigned list of general medicine patients and manage inpatient care.
• Oversee the full continuum of care: admissions, daily care management, consult coordination, discharges.
• Participate in Hospital Medicine consult service and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care managers.
• Support a 40-hour work week structure and contribute to onboarding and professional development.
• Engage in quality improvement and governance activities as part of APP leadership.
