Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is seeking a Primaries Operator for 2nd shift in Sherman, TX. Core hours are Monday-Thursday 2:00pm-10:30pm and Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm; hourly base rate $26.28 with $1.20 shift diff per hour, with salary guidelines reflecting market considerations.

The Primary Operator will run production equipment, perform setups, load/unload material, inspect parts, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Must be able to stand long shifts and lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment for fabrication of products.
• Set up and operate CNC controlled equipment; load/unload material.
• Perform first article and in-process inspection to prints.
• Change tools or dies as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform basic maintenance.
• Record data into the system and tag products with shop orders.
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Primaries Operator- 2nd Shift. The core hours are Monday - Thursday 2:00pm to 10:30pm and Friday 12:00pm to 8:30pm. The hourly rate for this position is $26.28/hour + $1.20/hour shift differential per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you’ll do:

The Primary Operator will operate production equipment for fabrication of products.

Job Functions:

• You will set up, understand, and proficiently operate applicable CNC controlled equipment. (May include Turret, Brake, Power Press, or Laser).
• You will load and unload raw material and remove finished parts from the machine. This may involve operating powdered industrial trucks or using other material-handling and lifting equipment.
• You will perform first article and in-process inspection of parts to prints.
• You will perform all tooling or die changes.
• You will troubleshoot equipment as necessary; understand root cause issue and fix when within skill level; perform minor preventive maintenance functions.
• You will ID and tag product with shop orders. Retrieve/enter data into system.
• You will perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.
• Mechanically inclined, ability to run machine independently.
• Excellent work ethic. The ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Be willing to train any of the essential functions to others.

Qualifications Required Within 3 Months:

• Must obtain a forklift certification and become proficient at operating powdered industrial trucks to handle incoming and outcoming materials for machine.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three years’ experience setting up and operating power presses, turrets, lasers, etc.
• Computer skills to include CNC program loading.
• Experience with SAP.
• Possess working knowledge of equipment operations, tooling (turret, presses, dies) and product.
• Possess strong math skills.

Skills:

Position Success Criteria:

• Able to stand on feet continuously during shift and able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
• Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil.
• Ability to read, interpret and operate press from prints and shop drawings.
• Able to read tape measures, scales, calipers, etc.
• Ability to ID different gauges and types of raw materials.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Able to work safely and produce effectively with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.
• Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail.
• Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.
• Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate¬.
• Requires PPE to include safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, leather gloves, and hearing protection (as required in high noise areas).
• Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil, sparks.
