Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division seeks a Primaries Operator for 2nd shift in Sherman, TX. Core hours are 2:00pm–10:30pm Monday–Thursday and 12:00pm–8:30pm on Friday. The role involves operating CNC equipment, loading materials, inspecting parts, and performing tooling changes. OT may be required; forklift cert and SAP knowledge are a plus.

The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a manufacturing setting with emphasis on continuous improvement and adherence to 5S principles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit offered; reside within Sherman, TX area.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to run machines independently.
• Willing to train others for essential functions; strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up, understand, and operate CNC controlled equipment (turret, brake, power press, laser).
• Load/unload raw material and remove finished parts; operate material-handling equipment as needed.
• Perform first article and in-process inspection to prints; read shop drawings.
• Perform tooling or die changes and troubleshoot equipment; conduct basic preventive maintenance.
• ID and tag products, enter data into systems, and participate in 5S and CI activities.

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Primaries Operator- 2nd Shift. The core hours are Monday - Thursday 2:00pm to 10:30pm and Friday 12:00pm to 8:30pm. The hourly rate for this position is $26.28/hour + $1.20/hour shift differential per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:The Primary Operator will operate production equipment for fabrication of products.Job Functions:· You will set up, understand, and proficiently operate applicable CNC controlled equipment. (May include Turret, Brake, Power Press, or Laser).· You will load and unload raw material and remove finished parts from the machine. This may involve operating powdered industrial trucks or using other material-handling and lifting equipment.· You will perform first article and in-process inspection of parts to prints.· You will perform all tooling or die changes.· You will troubleshoot equipment as necessary; understand root cause issue and fix when within skill level; perform minor preventive maintenance functions.· You will ID and tag product with shop orders. Retrieve/enter data into system.· You will perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.· Additional duties as assigned.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. The ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.• Be willing to train any of the essential functions to others.Qualifications Required Within 3 Months:• Must obtain a forklift certification and become proficient at operating powdered industrial trucks to handle incoming and outcoming materials for machine.Preferred Qualifications:· Three years’ experience setting up and operating power presses, turrets, lasers, etc.· Computer skills to include CNC program loading.· Experience with SAP.· Possess working knowledge of equipment operations, tooling (turret, presses, dies) and product.· Possess strong math skills.Skills:Position Success Criteria:· Able to stand on feet continuously during shift and able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.· Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil.· Ability to read, interpret and operate press from prints and shop drawings.· Able to read tape measures, scales, calipers, etc.· Ability to ID different gauges and types of raw materials.· Strong problem-solving skills.· Able to work safely and produce effectively with minimal supervision.• Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending.• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business.• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.• Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools.• Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail.• Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.• Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate¬.• Requires PPE to include safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, leather gloves, and hearing protection (as required in high noise areas).• Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil, sparks.We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
