Job summary

Meijer in Ohio is hiring an entry-level Stocking Clerk to keep shelves stocked and storefront inviting. You’ll move products from pallets to shelves, backstock, and assist customers with a friendly, helpful attitude during overnight shifts.

You’ll work as part of a team to maintain a clean, organized store, follow processes, and support leadership in completing tasks on time. Previous forklift experience is a plus, but not required; physical work includes lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Follow processes and procedures in an organized, efficient way.
• Stay calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoy being part of a team and supporting shared goals.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, push, pull and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
