Job summary

The Fresh Grocer of Progress Plaza in Philadelphia, PA is hiring a store associate to deliver a great customer experience while maintaining pricing integrity storewide. You will ensure all equipment and systems are maintained and communicate effectively with all departments.

Essential duties include updating price changes, maintaining pricing accuracy, and complying with local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

Ability to read, write, speak, analyze and understand English.
Ability to perform basic math.
Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and lift up to 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally.
Ability to work in varying temperatures.
Ability to operate the keyboard of a computer terminal and the numeric keyboard of a standard desktop calculator.
Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

Accurately complete weekly price changes transmitted to the store file, including discrepancies.
Maintain the accuracy of the pricing file to match weekly circulars and newspaper ads.
Maintain UPL program by separating, sorting, and placing UPL tags.
Ensure compliance with Company policies and government pricing standards.
Keep floor clean and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
Communicate effectively with all departments and complete required training.
