Drexel Building Supply, Inc. is a Wisconsin-based supplier known for its employee-owned model and community focus. The Pricing Planner role drives pricing accuracy, takeoff calculations, and quote workflows to protect margins while serving as a technical partner to QB’s, Production Planners and Buyers.

As part of a team-driven environment, you will master millwork tools, support standard and complex quotes, and collaborate across departments to meet deadlines and improve pricing processes.

Qualifications

• Takeoffs from blueprints for residential, commercial and LSP.
• Accurate pricing and quote execution for standard and custom quotes.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Google Suite to manage quotes and takeoffs.
• Mentorship and ongoing training for team members.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with QB’s, Production Planners and Buyers.
• Ability to meet critical quote and takeoff deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Obtain specs and quantities from blueprints to handle takeoffs.
• Assist in establishing pricing for new products and shop processes; manage standard, custom, and complex quotes.
• Operate ERP and tools to manage and maintain quote and takeoff requests.
• Provide mentorship and quality control on quotes and takeoffs.
• Collaborate with Quarterbacks on account requirements and participate in reviews and huddles.
• Assist in updating SOPs and identifying market trends.

The Mission:

The Pricing Planner is the key driver of accuracy, pricing precision, and estimating workflow execution. Active in the daily details of takeoff calculations and quote generation, you bring a positive, winning attitude to every project. By mastering millwork products, product application, and vendor capabilities, you ensure project pricing is prompt and accurate, protecting margins while serving as a trusted technical partner to Quarterbacks, Production Planners, & Buyers.

Defining the Role:

• Blueprints & Takeoffs: Obtain specs and quantities from blueprints to handle residential, commercial and LSP takeoffs.
• Pricing & Quoting Execution: Help establish pricing for new products and shop processes; manage standard, custom, and complex quotes using various Millwork Tools.
• ERP & Tools Mastery: Full ERP, department tools/resources and Google Suite knowledge to manage and maintain quote and takeoff requests.
• Team Coaching & Quality Control: Perform quote and takeoff reviews for standard quotes, providing ongoing mentorship, training, and support for team members.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Quarterbacks on specific account requirements, and participate in LSP kickoff reviews, daily team huddles and tacticals.
• Process & Strategy Improvement: Assist in creating & updating department SOPs, identify market trends to advise Category Managers on alternatives or bottlenecks, and meet critical quote & takeoff deadlines.

• Quote & Takeoff Accuracy: 100% accuracy across quotes & takeoffs; complete mastery of the various millwork tools.
• Processing Speed & Deadlines: Turnaround on quotes and takeoffs consistently completed within agreed upon deadlines.
• Mentorship: 100% review completion rate for new team member quotes, active participation in team training days & pivotal in documenting department processes.
• Cross-Functional Satisfaction: High satisfaction scores and positive energy when working with QB’s, Production Planners, Buyers, Category Managers & other departments.
