Job summary

Chemring Energetic Devices (CED) in Downers Grove, IL, seeks a Manager, Pricing to lead compliant cost and price proposals within aerospace and defense manufacturing. You will coordinate cross-functional inputs, support negotiations, and ensure accuracy of pricing tools and databases.

The role requires 5+ years in pricing/cost estimating and 3+ years supervising staff, with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Strong FAR/DFARS knowledge and Excel/Word proficiency are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of pricing, cost estimating, proposals, finance, or government contracting.
• Minimum 3 years of supervising staff level professionals.
• Proficiency in FAR/DFARS requirements and audit readiness.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; Microsoft D365 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of cost/pricing models for proposals of various sizes and complexities.
• Review proposal BOM, labor hours, and ODCs for compliance and relevance.
• Review cost/price proposals for compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that cost volumes comply with FAR/DFARS and customer solicitation requirements.
• Coordinate with the Proposal Manager to maintain proposal schedules, deadlines, and status reporting.
• Interface with Government and Customer audits and fact-finding engagements.
• Develop and improve pricing tools, methods, and templates.
• Participate in negotiations and collaborate with Contracts and Technical Proposal Managers.
