Chemring Energetic Devices (CED) seeks a Manager, Pricing to lead compliant cost and price proposals within an aerospace manufacturing setting. You will coordinate cross-functional inputs, support audits, and ensure pricing tools and templates remain accurate and effective.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in pricing or government contracting, and 3+ years supervising staff, with strong Excel and D365 skills. Downers Grove, IL location with comprehensive benefits and incentive opportunities.

Responsabilités

• Lead the preparation of cost/pricing models for proposals of various sizes and complexities.
• Review BOMs, labor hours, and ODCs for compliance and relevance.
• Review cost/price proposals for compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that cost volumes comply with FAR/DFARS and customer solicitation requirements.
• Coordinate with the Proposal Manager to maintain proposal schedules, deadlines, and status reporting.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Government and Customer audits and fact-finding engagements.
• Provide guidance to Pricing Analysts to prepare compliant, profitable proposals.
• Develop and improve pricing tools, methods, and templates.
• Interface with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.

CED’s current salary range for this role is $102,500 to $138,500/ year. At CED, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, location and geography. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager, Pricing is responsible for leading the development of compliant, accurate, and timely cost and price proposals within an aerospace and defense manufacturing organization. This position serves as a subject-matter resource for cost/pricing models, FAR/DFARS compliance, audit readiness, estimating processes, and proposal execution. The Manager, Pricing coordinates cross-functional inputs, supports fact-finding and negotiations, and ensures company pricing tools, methods, and databases remain accurate and effective.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Lead the preparation of cost/pricing models for proposals of various sizes and complexities
• Review proposal Bill of Materials, labor hours, and ODCs for compliance and relevance
• Review cost/price proposals for compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
• Ensure that cost volumes comply with FAR/DFARS and customer solicitation requirements
• Coordinate with the Proposal Manager to maintain proposal schedules, deadlines, and status reporting
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Government and Customer audits and fact-finding engagements
• Ensure audit files, cost/pricing documentation, and small business plans meet regulatory standards
• Provide guidance to Pricing Analysts to help advance their skills in preparing compliant, profitable proposals
• Collaborate closely with Contracts and Technical Proposal Managers to ensure alignment across all proposal volumes
• Develop and improve pricing tools, methods, and templates
• Support continuous improvement efforts to refine estimating and pricing practices
• Participate in negotiations as required
• Interface with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Comply with government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures
• Ensure 100% compliance with the Chemring Operational Framework, Code of Conduct and U.S. Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
• Other duties / responsibilities as assigned by leadership

SUPERVISORY RESPONSBILITY:

Directly supervise pricing and audit personnel

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent education and experience specifically within pricing or cost estimating

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in pricing, cost estimating, proposals, finance, or government contracting
• Minimum 3 years of supervising staff level professionals

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Lawful US Person (ITAR restrictions)
• Must be eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) for all employees of Chemring Energetic Devices
• Demonstrated understanding of audit processes, FAR/DFARS requirements, and government proposal preparation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Microsoft D365 preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that support clear collaboration and productive team outcomes
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively across departments
• Demonstrated financial, risk, and resource management capability

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, weighing up to 20 pounds occasionally This position involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Extensive and routine use of a computer and extended periods of sitting at a desk.
