Job summary

One Park Financial in Salt Lake City is hiring a Lead Engineer to own and evolve the Python pricing engine that determines terms for small-business offers in real time. You will lead engineers, set technical direction, and ensure changes ship reliably on AWS (ECS/Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda).

This hands-on role includes partnering with Product, DevOps, Data Engineering, Data Science, and QA to ship confidently.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Python development with production apps
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers and setting standards
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs
• Hands-on AWS experience with ECS/Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, SQS, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch
• Strong SQL and experience with relational/NoSQL data
• Comfort with business-logic-heavy applications and rule implementation
• Familiarity with data modeling and validation frameworks like Pydantic
• Experience integrating ML/model outputs into production systems
• Experience designing or supporting A/B tests and experimentation
• Strong cross-team collaboration and communication
• Comfort using AI/LLM tools to improve efficiency

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical owner of the Python-based pricing and decision engine on AWS
• Lead engineers, set architecture and review standards, and ensure risky changes are well scoped
• Own pricing logic end-to-end and ensure correctness before shipping
• Build data accuracy checks for DynamoDB and S3 storage and audit trails
• Design, run, and analyze pricing A/B tests and experiment data
• Own integration with sales platform, CRM, and external data providers
• Maintain observability and health dashboards for production
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, Data Engineering, Data Science, and QA
• Leverage AI/LLM tooling to prototype, test, and document
• Grow analytics capabilities beyond pricing into broader data products
