Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Data Scientist to lead price optimization efforts using forecasted outcomes for price and promotions. The role develops analytics infrastructure, communicates insights to diverse audiences, and identifies opportunities to apply data science as a competitive advantage.

You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive profitability, efficiency, and customer experience through advanced analytics and scalable data products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field is required.
• 3+ years of experience in business intelligence and analytics preferred.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL is required.
• Experience with forecasting, optimization, or predictive modelling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• 55%: Design and develop algorithms and models on large datasets to generate business insights; lead analytics projects or work independently.
• 20%: Communicate results to both technical and non-technical leaders with clear recommendations.
• 10%: Collaborate with internal customers and cross-functional teams to align project goals.
• 15%: Stay current with data science developments and develop reusable data products and libraries.
