Job summary

The Home Depot, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist focused on price optimization and forecasting. You will lead analytics initiatives to improve profitability, efficiency and customer experience while contributing to the advanced analytics infrastructure used for decision making.

You will apply advanced methods, present insights to non-technical audiences, and collaborate with business partners across functions to turn data into actionable business solutions.

Qualifications

• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of the relevant degree or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field is required.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL is expected.

Responsibilities

• 55% Solution Development - design models against large datasets for business insights and lead analytics projects.
• 20% Communicating Results - present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• 10% Business Collaboration - build trust with internal customers and cross-functional teams.
• 15% Technical Exploration & Development - pursue new data science techniques and codified data products.
