Job summary

Columbia Distributing is seeking a Pricing Specialist to accurately maintain pricing calendars, input pricing structures, and ensure alignment with management and supplier agreements. The role emphasizes data accuracy and cost analysis.

You will work with pricing and finance teams to analyze costs, communicate pricing changes to departments, and support the pricing process across products. Local travel is minimal; full-time position based in Anchorage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of pricing and/or accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Gather, organize and prepare pricing data in the system and analyze cost components.
• Communicate approved pricing to departments for pricing submittal to retail and graphics for price catalogs.
• Track FOB and price changes; notify purchasers, chain and sales departments.
• Maintain and create new product files including paperwork preparation.
• Review invoice pricing variances and month end depletion bill backs to suppliers.
• Work with Pricing Analyst to identify unprofitable products and recommend solutions.
• Develop and maintain positive, cooperative relationships with coworkers and managers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills for pricing data management.
• Basic math skills.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• VIP and Cognos experience.
• Effective organizational and time management skills.
