Job Summary

Job Title: Pricing Clerk I

FLSA Status: Hourly

Reports To: Pricing Coordinator

This role provides assistance to the Pricing Coordinator by working closely with department managers and vendor partners to ensure consistent delivery of pricing policies. The position contributes to store sales and profitability by managing pricing department operations, including price changes, ad displays, tag hanging, and item price verification.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks delegated by the Pricing Coordinator.
  • Ensure all departmental standards are met in the Pricing Department.
  • Follow best practices outlined in the Pricing team manual.
  • Maintain accurate pricing for all store products.
  • Execute price changes, ad and display updates, and promotional signage.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Store Director, Pricing Director, and other managers to maintain standards and exceed guest expectations.
  • Provide excellent guest service.
  • Assist guests in finding items on sale.
  • Promote community among peers.
  • Contribute to department cleanliness by organizing and cleaning work areas, shelving, and sales floor as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain regular, timely attendance and provide adequate notice for absences.

Qualifications

Candidates should be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, effective tactful communication with customers and staff, and good oral and written skills. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Stand for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
  • Frequently bend, kneel, and reach above shoulder level.
  • Perform repetitive hand movements and fine manipulations.
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures.

Work Schedule

This is a part-time, hourly position with shifts that may include daytime, evenings, and weekends.
