Job summary

Dealer Tire, a Cleveland, OH–based tire distributor, is seeking a Pricing & Merchandising Data Solutions Analyst to join our data-driven team. You will support Pricing, Merchandising & AOR and Finance with advanced analytics, reporting, and actionable insights to improve revenue and margins.

The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of analytics or financial analysis experience, strong Excel and PowerBI skills, and proficiency in SQL and Python; Alteryx experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics or related field.
• 2-4 years’ experience in performance analytics, financial analysis, pricing/product analysis or related business field.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerBI experience; Alteryx or similar analytics automation preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Database, VBA, SQL.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into financial/operational models.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze pricing, merchandising & AOR data for insights and recommendations.
• Audit large data sets to ensure accuracy and quality of information.
• Support Pricing, Merchandising and Finance with advanced analytics and reporting.
• Develop and maintain data models to measure profitability and revenue impact.

Pricing & Merchandising Data Solutions Analyst - Essential Job Functions

Data Management

• Compile and analyze Dealer Tire data related to Pricing, Merchandising & AOR.
• Audit and analyze large data sets to ensure accuracy in all information.
• Leverage new and existing technologies in most efficient ways possible (can include, but not limited to: data warehouse solutions, Alteryx, Snowflake, R-Studio, Excel, VBA,SQL Server Management Studio) to identify trends and make recommendations.
• Identify the components of a problem and apply appropriate analytics techniques to create solutions.

Analytics & Strategy

• Support Pricing, Merchandising, AOR, and Finance teams with advanced analytics and, if assigned, also provide support for all DT family companies.
• Assemble, manage and distribute operational reports and metrics, providing others with interpretations of the results and suggestions on actions to be taken.
• Utilize data & analytics to support Dealer Tire in achieving annual revenue and margin targets.
• Work collaboratively with other teams in the organization to develop solutions, including but not limited to: Supply Chain, Sales, Program Management, IT, Marketing.
• On an ad-hoc basis, provide support/analysis to Finance, Program Management, Sales, Supplier Relations, and Inventory Management.
• Collaborate with others in the organization to streamline data analytics and processes, ensuring consistent approach and strategy.

Financial Analysis

• Maintain/create tools to that accurately represent profitability in various ways for Pricing, Merchandising and AOR.
• Analyze gross margin impact and revenue impact of recommendations made to Pricing, Merchandising and AOR teams.

Other Duties as Assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or business-related field required.
• Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a technical role focused on performance analytics, financial analysis, pricing/product analysis or other related business field.
• Intermediate to advanced skills using Excel and PowerBI required. Experience with Alteryx or other analytic process automation software preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Database, VBA, and SQL.
• Strong proficiency in analytical tools (e.g., Alteryx, SQL, Python) and visualization platforms (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau)
• Expertise with statistics, data modeling, and manipulation of large data sets.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, problem solving and time management skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain complex data bases
• Strong analytical ability, including the ability to gather, analyze and evaluate information and to translate concepts into financial / operational models
• Possess basic knowledge and understanding of business and finance/accounting
• Excellent interpersonal, communications, and organizational skills with ability to succeed in a cross functional working environment
