Pricing and Business Intelligence Analyst

ThePricing and Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business and market data to assist with maximizing profits and sales, creating clear reports and dashboards for business leaders, tracking market trends including global economic factors and market risks, and helping to identify and implement strategic solutions to optimize the team’s processes. This role will drive transformational changes to enhance pricing strategies, understand market risks, identify and implement process improvements to include the utilization of pricing software and drive margin growth. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, collaborate with global cross-functional teams, and contribute to the success of our organization. *This position can be based in other Force and Motion Group business offices (Brecksville, OH or Maumee, OH).*

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and market data.
• Create clear reports and Power BI dashboards
• Identify areas for improvement, implement strategic solutions, and drive transformational change to enhance pricing strategies, efficiency, and margin.
• Analyze current pricing and business processes, identifying inefficiencies, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Assist with the identification and implementation of pricing software to improve processes, identify leakage, drive margin management, and provide ease of doing business for our customers.
• Develop recommendations aligned with global category strategies to optimize profitability and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights, align objectives, and implement best practices.
• Develop and manage measurement systems to track project progress.
• Conduct in-depth profitability analysis by region, market, and product category to identify trends and opportunities for margin improvements.
• Monitor global commodity fluctuations and assess their impact on pricing strategies, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within pricing processes, leveraging data analytics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, risks, and opportunities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support global pricing strategies and business growth.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years in business or pricing analysis, process engineering, or other relevant business positions within an industrial B2B environment, with international business history preferred.
• Strong ability to analyze processes and data to make strategic recommendations.
• Proficiency in understanding data, data modeling, profiling, and validation
• Expertise in data mining, analysis, reporting and visualization tools.
• Ability to use financial modeling to create forecasts
• Experience successfully managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and Power BI with the ability to learn and adapt to new software. Experience with Salesforce, Infor M3 and JBA is preferred.
• Understanding of how AI can be used to provide benefit in the role.
• Strong understanding of pricing methodologies, best practices, and industry standards
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and maintain a detail-oriented, structured approach to achieving planned outcomes.

• Awareness of technology advancements and willingness to learn new tools and processes.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Statistics, Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
• Advanced degree and/or certification preferred.
