Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Pricing Analyst to support pricing team by compiling and analyzing financial data, creating models, and building reports to track actuals and trends. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and assisting in pricing strategy development.

The candidate should have a 4-year finance-related degree, 2+ years of pricing/financial analysis experience, and strong skills in Excel and other MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree with major coursework in Finance preferred; or combination of education and commensurate work experience required.
• 2+ years of related work experience in pricing, financial, profitability analysis or economics, preferably in a professional services environment; knowledge of legal statistical modeling and pricing tools required.
• Robust analytical skills and ability to utilize computer systems and related tools, including Iridium, Elite 3E, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft office products, specifically Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pricing leadership with development of pricing programs and financial models; provide ongoing measurement of effectiveness.
• Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to identify strategic opportunities and improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
• Generate financial analyses supporting pricing strategies, policies, and optimization of pricing management.
• Provide profitability analytics and timely, accurate financial information to support client profitability objectives.
• Support annual billing rate-setting process, including benchmarking analysis and maintenance of hourly/alternative fee arrangements.
• Maintain and validate pricing databases, tools, and templates (Iridium and Elite 3E) for consistent data capture.
• Prepare and present pricing analyses, reports, and dashboards to Pricing leadership and attorneys.
• Provide ad hoc financial analyses as requested.
• Assist in developing and maintaining a pricing model database.
• Assist in responding to requests from attorneys for matter planning, budgeting, and tracking.
• Identify and implement opportunities to leverage Excel and automation to minimize effort.
• Assist in responding to RFPs for alternative pricing strategies; prepare pricing estimates.
• Other duties as assigned.
