Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP seeks a Pricing Analyst to support the Pricing Team by compiling and analyzing financial data, building models to support pricing efforts, and creating reports to track actuals and identify trends.

The role involves developing pricing programs, performing profitability analyses, and maintaining pricing databases (Iridium, Elite 3E). You will prepare analyses and dashboards for leaders and attorneys, and provide ad hoc financial insights as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of pricing, financial analysis or economics experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to build pricing models.
• Experience with pricing tools such as Iridium and Elite 3E.

Responsibilities

• Support Pricing Team by compiling and analyzing financial data and building models.
• Develop pricing programs and measure their effectiveness through ongoing analysis.
• Generate analyses to support pricing strategies, policies, and optimization.
• Provide profitability analytics and timely financial information for client profitability.
• Assist in the annual billing rate-setting process with benchmarking analyses.
• Maintain pricing databases and templates (Iridium, Elite 3E) for data integrity.
• Prepare and present pricing analyses, reports, and dashboards to leadership.
• Provide ad hoc financial analyses and support matter planning and budgeting.
• Contribute to pricing model database and Excel automation opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys and internal customers.

• The Pricing Analyst supports Pricing Team in administering pricing objectives that align with Firm strategy by compiling and analyzing financial data, creating models to support pricing efforts, and building reports to track actuals and identify trends.
• Assist Pricing leadership with the development of pricing programs and financial models and provide ongoing measurement on their effectiveness.
• Generate financial analyses that support the development of pricing strategies, pricing policies, and optimization of pricing management.
• Provide ongoing profitability analytics, and timely and accurate financial information to support firm's client profitability objectives.
• Support the annual billing rate-setting process, including benchmarking analysis and ongoing maintenance of hourly and alternative fee arrangements.
• Maintain and validate the accuracy of pricing databases, tools, and templates, including Iridium and Elite 3E, to ensure consistent and reliable data capture.
• Prepare and present pricing analyses, reports, and dashboards to Pricing leadership and attorneys to support decision-making.
• Provide ad hoc financial analyses as requested.
• Assist in developing and maintaining a pricing model database.
• Assist in responding to requests from attorneys for matter planning, budgeting, and tracking.
• Identify and implement opportunities to leverage Excel and automation to minimize effort where possible.
• Ability to deliver superior service to all internal and external customers and communicate effectively.

• or combination of education and commensurate work experience required.

• ~2+ years of related work experience in pricing, financial, profitability analysis or economics, preferably in a professional services environment; knowledge of legal statistical modeling and pricing tools required.
• ~ Robust analytical skills and ability to utilize computer systems and related tools, including Iridium, Elite 3E, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
• ~ Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft office products, specifically Excel.
