Job summary

US Foods is seeking a pricing specialist to execute pricing strategies at the distribution center level. You will review price deviations, support local bids, and manage DSBC reporting to improve margins.

Responsibilities include weekly promotional pricing, vendor price list management, and close collaboration with District Sales Managers and Strategic Pricing leadership. A Bachelor's degree or 3+ years pricing experience is required, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or minimum 3 years pricing experience.
• Pricing experience in foodservice or food manufacturing preferred.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Ability to support sales teams with pricing and negotiations.
• Knowledge of pricing databases and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage price deviations and exceptions for Territory Managers at the designated DC.
• Evaluate requests for CBAs, self-funded deviations, and price approvals.
• Answer pricing queries escalated from Sales and other US Foods employees.
• Develop pricing recommendations for bids and new customer acquisition in partnership with Strategic Pricing Manager.
• Manage area DSBC reporting to improve margins and identify costing errors.
• Execute weekly promotional pricing in the DC.
• Monitor margins and market pricing; work with DSMs on deviations.
• Use Merlin to identify product/category opportunities for pricing strategies.
• Perform ad-hoc pricing analyses for Strategic Pricing Manager/Region leadership.
• Upload and manage vendor price list exceptions; maintain CPR backups.
