The Pricing Analyst serves as a technical resource in the development and testing of rating and policy administration systems for assigned lines of business. The role involves identifying potential problems in company business and participating in staff training.

This position is based with National Indemnity Company in Omaha, NE and offers up to 50% hybrid work at management discretion after a training period. Note: This position is NOT eligible for employer visa sponsorship.

What will you do?
  1. Insurance Pricing Studies: Design and initiate analysis, compile data, and compute statistics for insurance rating studies, with managerial oversight on complex tasks.
  2. Rating Analysis: Conduct analyses, calculate indications, and recommend rate and structure changes based on statistical data, market conditions, and company experience.
  3. Rate Manuals: Design company rate manual pages following management and underwriting decisions.
  4. Regulatory Filings: Prepare exhibits, explanations, and justifications for rate filings and manuals submissions to Insurance Departments.
  5. Legislative Review: Research and interpret state laws affecting coverage, and assist in response formulation for regulatory review.
  6. Rate Instruction: Issue instructions on rate and product changes and respond to inquiries about rate structures.
  7. Statistical Studies: Perform increasingly complex statistical analyses for pricing components.
  8. Pricing Systems: Develop and maintain processes for the company's computerized pricing system.
  9. Technology Liaison: Coordinate development and testing of software technology related to assigned product lines.
What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • At least one year of work experience.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet software, database manipulation, statistical software, and programming.
  • Knowledge of principles of finance, business, statistics, and insurance.
