Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation in Mineral Wells, TX seeks a Pricing Analyst to support the Division Strategic Pricing Manager. You will help develop value-based pricing, review RFQs, and ensure pricing aligns with manufacturing costs and divisional goals.

The role collaborates with division leadership, product management, engineering, and sales to improve price effectiveness, manage discounts, and provide documentation for market changes.

Qualifications

  • BS in Accounting, Marketing, Finance, or equivalent practical experience; 2+ years of full-time professional experience.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to provide actionable insights to sales, operations, and P&L.
  • Excellent PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUPs) and preferably Power BI.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Pricing/quoting/sales/marketing experience a plus.
  • General understanding of manufacturing processes, cost accounting.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of pricing information.
  • Detail-oriented with accuracy in all submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Support corporate strategic pricing initiatives including cost, tariff, and inflation coverage; update price tables and improve pricing methods.
  • Provide best-in-class quotes and respond to RFQs to protect division profit; support Customer Service and ERP accuracy.
  • Design and implement Kaizen techniques; complete monthly standard work and pricing metrics.
  • Analyze division product markets; determine price ceilings/floors; adjust pricing based on cost, volume, and competition.
  • Set list prices, discounts, rebates, and publish price adjustments.
  • Approve exception pricing on Special Pricing Agreements.
  • Collaborate with team to improve pricing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide management with documentation to respond to changing market conditions.

Job description

Position Summary

Assist the Division Strategic Pricing Manager in supporting marketing and sales for the Industrial Process Filtration Division in Mineral Wells, TX (near Fort Worth). Make proactively recommend and enact decisions that support sales growth, improve operation health, and support P&L owners' goals by considering customer value-based marketing, competitive markets, manufacturing costs, and divisional return on sales targets. Support all business units and value streams of the division regarding pricing strategy and reviews of manufacturing costs.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve corporate strategic pricing initiatives: including cost, tariff, and inflation coverage; reduce bad factor business; and improve electronic access to view and order products. Update and improve attribute-based-pricing and value-based-pricing tables . Partner closely with Division Leadership, Product Management, Engineering, MarCom, and Field Sales to achieve price effectivity.
  • Proactively provide best-in-class customer support via accurate and timely quotes and answers. Review all RFQs and appropriately make decisions that will ultimately improve the profit levels of the division, taking into account the current market conditions and risk to the division. Support Customer Service, ensuring all ERPs stay up-to-date.
  • Responsible for design and implementation of Kaizen techniques and methods to internal processes and systems to eliminate waste and improve processes. Responsible for completing monthly standard work, including Sales Price Index and Parker Operating Protocol (POP) Pricing Pareto calculations, and our Win Scorecard metrics.
  • Assist in analyzing the division's product markets; determine the ceiling and floor prices of products. Evaluate implications on adjustments on pricing, volume, cost, competition, distribution, and segmentation. Recommend appropriate levels and take decisive action within delegated bounds.
  • Determine appropriate list prices; standard discounts and rebates; and publication of price adjustments.
  • Maintain a disciplined and structured approach to approval of exception pricing on Special Pricing Agreements.
  • Work with team on design and implementation of measures and methods for improving pricing effectiveness and efficiency
  • Provide management with supporting documentation to allow management to effectively respond to changing economic conditions and market changes.
Qualifications
  • BS in Accounting, Marketing, Finance, or equivalent practical experience and two or more years of full-time professional experience.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to be accountable for and provide actionable insights to all parties responsible for sales, operational, and P&L results.
  • Excellent PC skills with proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, xlookups, and other complex formulas) - Experience with Microsoft Power BI preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; capable of collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Pricing/quoting/sales/marketing experience a plus.
  • General understanding of manufacturing processes, practices, and cost accounting.
  • Must be able to maintain customer confidence and keep financial and pricing information confidential.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in all submitted work and communications.
