Job summary

Savino Del Bene GmbH is seeking a Pricing Analyst to join our global freight forwarder team in Illinois. You will handle sea freight pricing for FCL/LCL, manage RFQ processes, and collaborate with sales and branch offices to optimize rates and service levels.

The role requires 3 years in sea freight pricing or procurement and 5 years in freight forwarding. You will leverage pricing tools and market data to develop competitive strategies across multiple trade lanes.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate rates and space allocation with steamship lines across multiple trade lanes
• Collaborate with sales teams, Savino Del Bene branches and worldwide offices to develop pricing strategies

We are currently looking for an energetic and well-rounded Pricing Analyst to join our growing team. As a Pricing Analyst you will have experience in handling all processes involved in ocean export shipments from inception through to final destination delivery, covering FCL and LCL shipments. You are confident in your ability to review and streamline shipping and transportation processes. You will have up to date knowledge on documentation and customs procedures.

You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and are able to liaise with all relevant parties to ensure that customer expectations are met during the movement of cargo.

Additional Essential Job Functions:

• Effectively handle procurement duties as assigned.
• Manage FCL, LCL and special cargo (OOG) rate requests and lead the responses.
• Manage the RFQ Process for Global FCL and LCL Sea Freight Tenders and leading RFQ in timely response.
• Expert with pricing tools, databases, and processes.
• Managed and updated the existing customers pricing.
• Reviewed all sales requests for potential clients and offered rates based on market trends for each trade zone.
• Analyzed changes in market conditions such as capacity, competition, schedules, and fares to develop, implement and track appropriate pricing strategies.
• Proactively effectively communicated market/pricing/target strategies with our vendors.
• Independently analyzed coming requests questions by using experience / strategy.
• Negotiated rates and / or space allocation with steamship lines in support to Latin America, Trans-Pacific West Bound, Middle East, Oceania and Trans-Atlantic East Bound Trade lanes.
• Will collaborate closely with sales team, Savino Del Bene branches and worldwide offices in developing strategy for win success ratio.
• Must be able to handle multiple requests at the same time.
• Learn and understand the various pricing tools available to the team, such as reading the contracts, having skill on obtaining rate from the internal portal, being familiar with steam ship lines web site.
• Utilize logistics knowledge and experience to support and manage Sea freight pricing.
• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team specific requirements.

Requirements:
