Job summary

Arc Thrift Stores in Colorado is seeking a Furniture Associate to price, merchandise and maintain the furniture, mattresses and appliances on the sales floor.

You will set weekly production targets with the assistant manager, test items, price merchandise, and display donations while keeping the area clean and well-stocked. You will also provide customers with receipts and assist with donations and closing duties.

• Ability to recognize merchandise quality and price it competitively.
• Ability to make decisions about merchandise quality, whether merchandise is saleable and when to reduce prices to sell merchandise.
• Ability to interact effectively with customers.
• Ability to write receipts.
• Ability to observe the production process and to communicate with the supervisor and other team members to keep the production process moving.
• Ability to present a positive Company image and be courteous to customers
• Ability to work as a productive member of a team.

Education And/or Experience Required

Physical Demands

• Works inside in a production and retail environment.
• Exposure to temperature fluctuations.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to dust from donations.
