Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician in Houston to service the latest fleet, perform preventive maintenance on Ford and GMC trucks, and contribute to a team-driven environment.

You will partake in the Technician Training Program, receive tool support from U-Haul, and grow within a family-oriented culture known for its long-tenured staff and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license.
• The ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
• Regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Team Members are expected to assist in additional areas as necessary.
