Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a preventive maintenance technician to keep our latest fleet in top condition. You will perform preventive maintenance on Ford and GMC trucks, secure trucks on lifts, lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes, and replace minor parts.

You will grow through our Technician Training Program from Ford, GMC and U-Haul, with tools provided and a family atmosphere that supports career growth.

Qualifications

• Must have basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license required for vehicle operations.
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
• Basic computer skills for electronic pre-inspection checklists.
• Regular attendance and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps as part of routine maintenance.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance to ensure road readiness.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Assist in other areas as directed by supervision.
