Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a preventive maintenance technician in Phoenix to maintain a fleet of Ford and GMC trucks. You will perform preventive maintenance, oil changes, brake and tire work, and assist with inspections using U-Haul’s proprietary tools.

Training is provided through Ford, GMC, and U-Haul programs, with opportunities for growth within a family-oriented team. Hiring in a role that combines hands-on mechanical work with team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Driver’s license required.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• Basic computer skills.
• Regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Lend assistance in additional areas as necessary under supervision.
