Job summary

Virginia Tech seeks a Facilities Systems Supervisor to coordinate multi-trade maintenance across athletic facilities, ensuring preventive maintenance is completed on time and within budget while keeping service levels high for repairs.

The role requires a current master license in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC, and a valid driver's license. Able to perform physically demanding tasks and respond to after-hours emergencies; 40+ hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Must have a current master license in electrical, plumbing or HVAC trade.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform routine plumbing/mechanical tasks.
• Ability to move and handle heavy objects up to 50 pounds; climb stairs and work from elevated positions.

Responsibilities

• Developing priorities with shop supervisors to coordinate with building contacts and schedule preventive maintenance.
• Reviewing, monitoring and supervising work assignments of shop supervisors and athletic region PM team.
• Prioritize work orders and ensure preventive maintenance is completed on time and within budget.
• Ensure safety, quality, and cost in completed assignments; coordinate with university contacts.
