Job summary

University of Texas at Dallas seeks a Prevention Specialist & Advocate to develop, implement, and evaluate prevention programs addressing sexual violence, IPV, stalking, and harassment. You will work with Title IX, Counseling Services, University Police, Student Affairs, and student groups to embed prevention, advocacy, and safety into campus life.

You will educate students about rights and reporting options, provide trauma-informed support, and coordinate referrals to campus and community

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 1 year related experience or equivalent
• Master's degree preferred
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and victims' rights protections
• Understanding of Title IX and Clery Act is beneficial
• Strong facilitation and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and assess evidence-based prevention programs addressing sexual violence, IPV, stalking and harassment.
• Facilitate workshops on bystander intervention, healthy relationships, consent, trauma-informed responses.
• Lead campus prevention events and awareness campaigns.
• Serve as advocate for survivors and provide trauma-informed crisis intervention and safety planning.
• Coordinate referrals to counseling, legal aid, medical care, housing and financial assistance.
• Collaborate with University Police, Counseling Services, and Student Affairs to integrate prevention and support.
