The Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services is seeking a talented and motivated individual to serve as a Prevention Specialist in the Prevention Intervention program. The Prevention Specialist performs universal interventions promoting overall health, wellness, and resilience for the Loudoun County community and provides selective interventions for youth who have been identified as high-risk for adverse childhood experiences.
Primary responsibilities include:
Bachelor's degree in related field and one (1) year of professional work experience working with high- risk youth or a mental health and/or substance use disorder and/or prevention services or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Employment is contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment background check to include fingerprinting, credit, NCIC, DMV and TB test. Successful candidates must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid, HIPPA, Therapeutic Options (TO), and OSHA required certifications.
