Job summary

Seaway Valley Prevention Council seeks a motivated individual for a Paid Prevention Internship under NYS OASAS. You will work with Health Educators to deliver evidence-based prevention programs in St. Lawrence County schools and communities.

Ideal candidates enjoy public speaking, creativity, and teamwork. Training towards CPP certification is provided, with local travel and mileage reimbursement. Evening/weekend hours may be required, and the minimum requirement is a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• The candidate should be comfortable speaking in public in educational settings.
• Ability to collaborate with educators and staff to deliver prevention programs.
• Interest in social media graphics and community outreach.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate youth programming in schools and in the community.
• Design social media graphics to support prevention messages.
• Participate in community events and assist Health Educators.
• Travel locally with mileage reimbursement and occasional evening/weekend hours.
