Job summary

WGNSTAR is hiring a maintenance technician in Hillsboro, Oregon, to support semiconductor equipment and processes. The role involves visual inspections, preventive maintenance, calibration, and ensuring cleanliness and safety on the floor.

You will work a compressed night shift (6 BN, 7:30pm–8am) with competitive pay and full benefits. The ideal candidate has at least 6 months on semiconductor toolsets, strong mechanical skills, ability to read schematics, and good teamwork to coordinate with

Qualifications

  • 6 months minimum on any semiconductor toolset.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, diagrams and manuals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on tool assembly.
  • Knowledge of etching, deposition, and lithography processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual inspections and respond to equipment error messages.
  • Follow SOPs to perform preventive maintenance, calibrate alignment systems.
  • Maintain air and nitrogen systems; purge cycles for compliance.
  • Monitor robotic transfers between process tools.
  • Document maintenance activities and system checks.
  • Update inventory of cages and related equipment.
  • Perform area safety and cleanliness walks.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
  • Conduct visual inspections, respond to equipment error messages per customer direction.
  • Follow SOP’s to perform preventive maintenance: clean sensors and interface surfaces, replace worn components, and calibrate alignment systems.
  • Maintain air and nitrogen systems: check filtration units, purge nitrogen lines, and validate purge cycles for compliance.
  • Monitor robotic transfers between process tools to ensure smooth operation.
  • Document all maintenance activities and system checks in for compliance.
  • Update inventory of shark cages, utility cages, etc.
  • Perform area safety and cleanliness walks.
Requirements
  • Required Min 6 months on any semiconductor toolset.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands‑on experience in disassembly and assembly of semiconductor tools.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment, including etching, deposition, and lithography systems.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
Preferences

May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, ability tobend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
