Job summary

RDO Equipment Co. in Williston, ND is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to keep heavy equipment running safely and efficiently. You will perform PM inspections, routine services, and minor repairs while maintaining the lube truck inventory and fostering strong customer relationships.

The role requires diesel/mechanical aptitude, a Class B CDL with air brakes, and the ability to document work using computers. Join a safety‑driven, value‑led team in a dynamic, hands‑on environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and diesel/mechanical experience preferred; technical training is a plus.
• Basic tools needed to perform preventative maintenance work.
• CDL Class B with air brakes required to safely operate company vehicles.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Comfort using computers and technology for documentation and reporting.
• Valid work authorization and ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on heavy equipment.
• Complete routine service work: change fluids, replace filters, lubricate components, and perform minor parts replacement.
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely in shop or field.
• Maintain inventory and organization of the lube truck and service materials.
• Promote preventative maintenance services and support positive customer relationships.
