Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preventative maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on gas, electric, water, and steam‑powered commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively, explaining repair procedures, and offering solutions to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain detailed records of all repairs, services, and parts used; prepare and submit service reports and invoices promptly.
• Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts; order and replenish supplies as needed; keep truck stock stocked.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices through continuous learning and training.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in appliance repair, HVAC, or a related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and gas systems; ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Relevant certifications such as EPA 608, CFESA, or equivalent are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Successful completion of a satisfactory background screening.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, stand, bend, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective time‑management and the ability to prioritize tasks, work independently or as part of a team.
• Customer‑focused mindset dedicated to high‑quality service and satisfaction.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 75 pounds; frequently move up to 100 pounds with assistance and heavy‑lift equipment.
• Work comfortably in confined spaces and heights.
• Stand, walk, bend for extended periods; climb ladders as required.
• Travel extensively to work‑site locations.
• Use appropriate safety equipment when exposed to electrical, steam, and high‑heat units.
